I try to connect my new Apple TV 4K by Bluetooth to my Samsung Soundbar Q990B . It detected it but it cannot connect : ‘ make sure AV soundbar is turned on and in range’ .

Depending on your setup, pairing to Apple TV may not be needed, if you can connect it to your TV. Then the TV can passthrough any audio to the soundbar, regardless of whether the source signal originates from Apple TV, regular TV coax “antenna” input, or a different HDMI device.
Bluetooth is likely of lesser quality than a HDMI connection, if that is also supported in your setup. Bluetooth audio is recompressed stereo audio, while HDMI can be lossless multichannel (surround sound/Dolby Atmos).

i tried Va Bluetooth to connect my Samsung Soundbar with the procedure your describe , but if the Apple TV detects immediately the Q990B on the screen , you cannot connect it . ( out of range or not on error message)
the fact is that my Apple TV box is connected to an Epson projector that I cannot connected to the soundbar .
The strange think is that it works with another Samsung soundbar ( a smaller one) but not the Q990B .
i read on another chat that some guys have the same problem with this specific soundbar .
