Battery health MacBook pro

Can users of Final Cut pro, Logic Pro X and/or Ableton live on MacBook pros tell me about their battery health after the past months or years of usage. I’m trying to understand if buying Apple care plus for 3 years is worth it considering it’s almost the same price as the price of battery replacement. Is battery health likely to drop below 80% when using softwares such as Final Cut pro, Logic Pro and/or Ableton?

Overall battery health and life of MacBook Pro is unaffected by the use of Logic Pro and Ableton apps.

This is my experience with several MacBook models in use between my son and I as we both have used those apps over many years.

Yes, the apps may drain the battery a little more quickly for a cycle if the cpu is loaded by heavy activity for a long time, but this is no different than any other hi use applications.

In our experience the batteries of our laptops don't degrade at a substantially faster rate. If this is a concern for you, then you should consider that best practice will be to run the laptop on the power adapter when power is available, and only run it on battery when you must.

Stop worrying about the battery. Mac computers are used with many apps and in many environments without battery issues. If you are near a power source plug in the computer. I have a couple of old Mac computers used daily, all day, running business apps and have never experienced any battery issues. The MacOS manages the battery/power system very well.
