I am unable to safely disconnect my San disk card.

My San disk card can not be seen on my desktop. However I have been able to download the photos but I am unable to see the card on my desktop and therefore I am unable to safely eject the card from my computer. I don't want to just pull the card out of its slot.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.6

Obviously the card is already unmounted? Does the Disk Utility also show it unmounted -- then just pull it out. Usually a forced unmount via the Finder does no harm, neither even a brutal disconnect. But if there is precious material on that card, I'd be more gentle and maybe even shutdown the Mac before disconnecting the card. And periodically reformat the card in the camera after its contents are backupped elsewhere.
