When can we expect media playback on the original Ultra 2

The updated specs for the new Ultra 2 indicate media playback capability. Can we expect this feature on the older Ultra 2 (which I guess is pretty much the same device as the new version doesn’t have any new features or updated chipsets)? I’m still prompted to connect a Bluetooth device for media playback running the Dev OS.
