Apple watch series 9 price drop

In the past Apple discontinues sales of an older product when the new replacement product becomes available in the country or region. In some years the model is retained and the price is reduced. Some independent retailers such as carriers may offer older models at reduced price while supplies last.

Apple, at least in the US, has discontinued the Apple Watch Series 9 and it is no longer available from the Apple Store except perhaps as a refurbished model. As Jeff said, the Series 9 may remain available in other countries, or through authorized Apple dealers, again while supplies last.
