Battery health rapidly declining after 1 year of use and less than 300 cycles

for context, this is an iPhone 15 pro on iOS 18.0. I use it mostly as a work phone. The battery never gets below 40% and is set to not charge over 85% (a practice that I have been told is a good way to extend battery longevity.)

since dropping from 100% of maximum capacity about 2 months ago, it seems to be rapidly declining. 3% in less than two months. Is this normal? My iPhone 13 Pro never dropped below 98% in the almost 2 years I owned it and I used to charge it to 100 and use it down to 3-10%

is this just a matter of manufacturing differences or something, or do I have a faulty battery? I do have Apple care if that makes any difference to my answers

Rapidly declining? You need to send flowers to Apple for having such a good battery in your iPhone. For every 25 cycle charges, your phone should lose about 1% in Battery Health. Your phone has been through 264 cycles. 264/25 = 10.56. As such, your battery should realistically be at 90% Battery Health and yet you're at 97%. You should be grateful, NOT concerned.

If your screen shot is current, that is perfectly normal and in fact is a bit better than average for a year-old phone. Apple won't replace a battery until the maximum capacity drops to 80%. So there's nothing wrong with your iPhone and you can stop worrying about it.
