How to fix Apple ID verification failed on new iPhone?

I’ve tried to log into a new phone with my Apple ID but everytime it says verification failed. There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server. I am connected to wifi and have my sim installed.

Verification failed: There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server I've purchased a refurbished Iphone 12 and i'm trying to set it up, but everytime I enter my icloud ID and password, i get this same message. I am connected to Wifi All i get is the spinning sign. Just cant seem to get past this point. Wonder if its just a bad phone, or am i doing something wrong. Hello all, Reset my Ipad Air 2 the other day and when i went to download an app it wanted me to sign in via Apple ID, and it came up saying this message of "Verification Failed" (Image 1) since then i have tried everything ive read online Payment up to date Date and time set to manual (image 3) IPad OS up to date (Image 2) Reset network settings Doing it on Mobile hotspot and MiFi Each thing i've tried has not had any result. Then tried to open a chat with apple to solve the issue to be walked through the exact same steps i've already done. Hoping someone here has seen this issue and knows of a possible fix. Verification Failed I have been getting 'Verification Failed: there was an error connecting to the Apple ID server' message everytime I try accessing my old ipad. none of my apps are working. Wifi is also connected. My password is correct as I can sign in using laptop. Already tried changing password but still no luck. Any help would be helpful.

If you're using iOS or iPadOS 14 or earlier, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This also resets Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you've used before.

I have reset the phone. I’ve updated it and tried logging in but same thing.
