Replacing iPhone 13 mini battery with maximum capacity down to 81%

I bought iPhone 13 mini 3 years ago. Have been having battery performance problems such as heating and fast discharge. Now the maximum capacity is already down to 81%.

Is this normal in 3 years?

How much will it cost to get a new battery (I do not have Apple Care)?

iPhone 13 mini, iOS 17

That's actually pretty good for three years. The average loss in capacity is about 1% a month.

Apple ordinarily doesn't replace batteries until they drop below 80%. However, it wouldn't hurt to contact them. I had mine replaced at about 82% because the phone was also shutting off unexpectedly.
