iPhone 13 Pro battery health at 81% after 3.5 years

Purchased a new iPhone 13 Pro with 256GB back in December 2021. After 3 1/2 years the maximum capacity now shows 81%. At what point should I consider getting the battery replaced? TIA

Once it drops below 80%, Apple recommends to replace the battery. The cost will be $89(US) and you definitely need to make sure it is done by Apple or Authorized Apple seller.

When the Maximum Capacity declines to under 80% in the next month or two, it is time to replace the battery at the Apple Store / Genius Bar or authorized Apple service shop. About $90 (U.S.)

If you are noticing a decline in performance, you could go ahead and replace the battery at this time.

You can find a list of authorized service shops in your area using this link:

Below 80% you’ll detect a gradual but still noticeable and accelerating loss of battery “usability.”

If you plan on keeping the device for some time into the future; consider replacing the battery sooner at a time convenient for you …

… rather than later when the phone “demands” attention.
