Google Chrome App keeps disappearing after restart

The Google Chrome App disappears from the launchpad on my new Apple iMac everytime I restart. The dmg file remains in the Application folder. I have to run the installation process each time I restart. I've tried deleting app, downloading it and reinstalling. The App continues to disappear. Sonoma 14.2

Applications Not Closing Fully (MAC) (I am on mac, newest update). Whenever I close application tabs or windows using the red close/quit button, they don't fully close, and the app continues running in the background. I have to go to Finder and manually force quit every application when I'm done using it. Is there a setting that will make apps fully close when I click the quit button? It's really frustrating knowing that they're still running in the background, especially when they reopen to my previous tabs instead of a home page when I thought I closed out completely. Also, is there a way to stop applications like Google Chrome and Spotify from opening in the background automatically when I start up my computer? Trying to run app opens DMG file I'm new to mac (MacBook Pro), so I have a bit to learn. When I download an app (DMG file), I move it to the Applications folders, where it appears to install. But when I return and try to open the app from the Applications folder, the window in the attached screenshot appears. Maybe this is normal, but I thought that the app itself would open directly. Instead, I double click the icon in the window, but then decline to change the app's settings. Thanks.

Likely the DMG should be in the Downloads folder, then double clicked to mount the DMG, then in Finder looking at the mounted DMG. drag the .APP to the Applications folder.

I suggest Browser this, it's Chrome Browser without google & without Ads...
