What are random green and orange spots on my iPad screen?

I’ve just woken up to an orange and green dot on my iPad and I’m thinking that I’ve been hacked. I had been using apps that has access to camera and mics but I haven’t been using the feature that requires microphones/camera access. What do I do?

if your ipad could be hacked then, a hackers motive would usually to steal your secrets or get access to your creditcards and the likes, adding a random pixel miscolour would very very rarely be a cause of action

if it was me then I would

try

restarting the ios device Force

restart iPhone - Apple Support

and check if it resolved it if it did not

then I would try Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support

-

Apple Support if that did not resolve it then I would contact

apple about repair Contact

- Official Apple Support

if you still worry about hacking then maybe read

If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support

Simply force-restart your iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Force restart iPad (models with the Home button)

Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

After restarting your iPad, ensure that it has been updated to the most recent version of iPadOS that your iPad supports:

  • iPad Air2, iPad mini4 - iPadOS 15.8.3
  • iPad5, iPad Pro (9.7"/12.9" first generation) - iPadOS 16.7.10

All newer models of iPad are able to be updated to the current version - iPadOS 17.6.1

  • iPad Pro 13" (M4)
  • iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd generation and later)
  • iPad Pro 11" (1st generation and later + M4)
  • iPad Pro 10.5"
  • iPad Air (3rd generation and later + M2)
  • iPad (6th generation and later)
  • iPad mini (5th generation and later)

If your iPad is capable of update to a more recent version of iOS/iPadOS than is currently installed, these support pages outline both the available methods by which the update can be performed - and troubleshooting should you experience difficulties:
