German External USB ISO Keyboard: some keys mapped/identified wrong
This is such a silly problem, and haunting me since years! Can someone fix that please! But I may just open a Tech support ticket.
The keyboard is a Razer RZ03-00800 (although it does not matter, same with other german ISO keyboards from Logitech, etc.) which has THE SAME LAYOUT as the macbook pro it is connected with.
- I erase /Library/Preferences/com.apple.keyboardtype.plist and reboot
- The keyboard assistant pops up, and I press the < key beside Shift. ISO button is selected, done.
- The plist is updated like this:
<dict>
<key>514-5426-0</key>
<integer>41</integer>
</dict>
THE KEYBOARD IS WRONG:
The keys for < and ^ are swapped! Every time no way to fix!
I can edit the plist file, but how? There is no useful info in it.
Other keyboards I connected previously had 40 or 43 as integer value.
This keyboard (514-5426-0) also registered with Integer 43 in the previous plist???
