Photo information does not work

If I take a picture of my dog or any plants,with my (15 Pro) it won’t give me the twinkle around the little i icon, so that I can research what plant it is for example. My gf on the other hand has this feature on her 12 Pro all the time. Do I miss anything? Can I turn this on or do I have to save my photos in iCloud?
