Since I upgraded my iPhone 14 Pro Max to IOS 26.0.1 I lost the ability to identify flowers and plants when I too photos

Can you try swiping up on the bottom of the image, and underneath the comments bar there should be a “Search {plant}”
It takes quite a while for Photos to scan through all the pictures looking for clues to report in its database. Like a week or more, depending on the size of the Library.
How long has it been since the upgrade?
Check this:
Settings>Search>Show Related Content
It should be on
Does it work on older photos, perhaps before the update?
What app are you using? Does you device have solid connection to the internet?
The icon
is a lowercase " i " for information. If there are stars it indicates that there is extra internet lookup information, the "Related Content."

Hi and thank you for your response. I don’t have a similar one you encircled. Mine shows a reversed (!) sign.
No I have the (l) without the stars though the ‘related content ‘ is checked on.
Yes I have good internet connection. I used to take photos with the iPhone 14 Pro Max. When viewing the photos, I used to have the starred icon at the bottom. Now this is no the case and I can’t identify the plant or flower bearing in mind I haven’t changed the phone’s settings
