Apple charged me immediately for the $49 replacement fee

I've shipped my kids' ipads to the apple store to be fixed at least 5 times in the last 5 years. They'll charge me immediately for the $49 replacement fee, and it will come out of my account, and then they always put it back INTO my account for a few days before they take it back out again... Does anyone understand why they do this? I don't always pay super close attention to my balance in my checking account so it's confused me on many occasions, making me think I have more money in my account than I do.

That's something that you'd to talk with Apple about, but it's possible that it's a hold, not an actual charge. A company placing a hold for the amount that may be charged is very common. Or they may apply the charge until they receive the device or get confirmation of shipment and then refund. We're all just fellow users and have no insight into Apple's procedures.

Regards.
