Is Apple still updating iPadOS for Mini 4 for security?

My iPad Mini 4 says a software update is available that provides important security fixes and is recommended for all users. I currently have 15.8.3. I have tried to update the software over the past several days and failed. Does Apple have a security update for the Mini 4?

Update security only iPad iOS 14.8 iPhone iOS 15.4 I saw something somewhere about being able to update only the security features on my iPad and iPhone without having to upgrade to a new iOS. When I looked at the Software Update on both devices, there was only a Download and Install option, which I assume means the whole upgrade package. I’m on an iPhone 12 mini, and iPad Air. thanks

iPadOS 15.8.3, released by Apple on July 29, 2024, is the latest iPadOS version your iPad can use, and is what you should be using.
