How do you turn off Face ID on a Mac my late son’s face is still on there

Hello my son just passed last month and his Face ID is there for his Mac he added my finger print for his iPhone and iPad but we need to access his Mac thank you

There is no Face ID on a Mac. There is Touch ID on newer Macs, where a fingerprint is required. Is that what you mean? In any case, if you don't have your son's password to that Mac and he didn't set up a fingerprint for you on the Mac like he did for the i-devices, see:
