I pre ordered the iPhone 16 pro Max natural titanium, but I live in the Netherlands. So I’m wondering if we’re getting the new iOS features too like apple intelligence.

Apple Says That
“Apple Intelligence first launches in US English, and will quickly expand to include localised English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in December, with additional language support — such as Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish — coming next year.”
Now they mention France and Spain, which are part of the European Union 🇪🇺 which means we might be getting it next sometime year.

The funny thing is that no one knows the answer to the question and any that claim they do have just provided speculation, which violates the Terms of Use for this site . You can use the link on the bottom of every page to review the rules. This is a support site where users ask questions and other users attempt to provide a solution, usually with documentation provided by Apple. If you have a link where the EU or Apple has provided a statement, then by all means include it here. This site should not be confused with a Social Media site where people hidden behind a user name are free to make any claim they want. There is no interest in anyones personal opinion and the focus is strictly to help users with a technical question to resolve an issue.
You will find that not all questions will have an answer that can be provided without speculation and in those cases, you will see a link to send feedback to Apple directly. For now or until a statement has been released, all we can do is wait and see.
Does anyone know who/where is best to contact to get some campaigning/discussion going for the EU to allow for it? Any particular emails or social media pages to ask for it to be looked in to? I think from the aspect of accessibility and choice it should be allowed in the EU. It will help so many people and bring many positive improvements. Privacy concerns I don’t think should be imposed on us. As consumers we should have the choice whether or not we’re comfortable using it and there’s a toggle to switch it off if you don’t want it. We need to get some movement on this.
So how does this work for the UK? We left the EU so do we get it this year maybe a short bit after US? Or do we just have to wait along till next year too?
When Apple says US English, does it mean we can still use in UK with US English?
Do you have any idea why screen mirroring and shareplay won't be coming to EU?

I think he means AI in general, like Androids integrated AI and not Apple Intelligence.

Can we not just change the phone to US English? I plan on buying one in Mexico so does this mean I won’t be able to get it since the phone was purchased there instead of the US?
