When will Apple Intelligence be available in Europe?

I pre ordered the iPhone 16 pro Max natural titanium, but I live in the Netherlands. So I’m wondering if we’re getting the new iOS features too like apple intelligence.

Apple Says That

“Apple Intelligence first launches in US English, and will quickly expand to include localised English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the UK in December, with additional language support — such as Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish — coming next year.”

Now they mention France and Spain, which are part of the European Union 🇪🇺 which means we might be getting it next sometime year.

Does anyone know who/where is best to contact to get some campaigning/discussion going for the EU to allow for it? Any particular emails or social media pages to ask for it to be looked in to?

Privacy concerns I don’t think should be imposed on us. As consumers we should have the choice whether or not we’re comfortable using it and there’s a toggle to switch it off if you don’t want it. We need to get some movement on this.

Then you need to vote for different people. I don't know if there are direct elections to representatives to the EU or not, though.

No, they mention the French and Spanish languages. There are many countries in the world that speak one of those two besides France and Spain.

I thnk people forget that, especially with Spanish. Mexico has the largest number of Spanish speakers. Spain is fourth on the list. Seven of the ten countries with the largest French-speaking populations are not in the EU. And, of course, the country with the largest population of Portuguese speakers isn't in the EU, either.

Yea I mean if we want phones that take advantage of transformer based artificial intelligence in Europe we need to buy google?

Why is google compliant but Apple not? If anything Apples appears to be more likely to comply with EU law.

Because Google does not care about your Privacy. In fact their largest revenue source comes from harvesting your personal information to sell to advertisers. Feel free to give your personal information to ChatGPT, there is nothing stopping you, but Apple will not allow it on their devices using Apple Intelligence and use their own private servers to make sure that does not happen.

I was planning on preordering or ordering one last week in the store here in Estonia but decided I would not waste my money if I didn't get all of the features available here in the EU. Why would I spend over €1500 or more on a new Apple product that touts this new tech if we don't get it at the same price? Especially when the EU is getting hit harder with the impacts of the Ukraine war than the US. I'll probably settle for an iPhone 15 Pro instead. Apple's sales are not gonna be good in the EU as a result if people are smart. As a consumer who generally upgrades my iPhone every 2 versions or so or when new tech comes out, this frustrates me.
