If I am ordering Airpod Pro 2nd Gen on 10th Sep does that means I get same device as last year 2023 ? Meaning, Apple has not changed the device since last year and there are only software updates in Sep 2024 release ?
If no, then can there be option to pre-order new device starting Sep 2024 ?

The AirPods Pro 2 were released in 2022.
The only change in 2023 was to the charging case, they changed from lightning to usb c charging port.
The AirPods themselves have no hardware change.
All features announced are relying on iOS 18 and firmware updates to the existing hardware.
