My iPad Pro 1st Gen keeps freezing and is unresponsive to touch

I believe this is a first generation based on model number MLMV2LL/A. The screen keeps freezing...not responsive to touch at times...and generally slow. Is it time for a new one? Thanks

That is the first-gen iPad Pro, correct. Whether it has a hardware failure it's too early to say without more information. Have you tried doing a factory reset on it?

If so and the problem persists when reinstalling without using a backup , then it's probable that there is a hardware problem. Apple will no longer provide service for that model. You could try an independent service provider for a repair, but it probably would not be worth the money.

Regards.
