Veritcal lines on the left side of Macbook Air

Hello, vertical-coloured lines recently appeared on my MacBook Air (which I have had for close to 7 months). My laptop has not undergone any physical damage, otherwise, I could understand why this happened. They change with the movement of my screen and have gotten a little worse over the past couple of days. Some of the lines are very faint and other ones are rather dark. I have been trying everything I can on my end: resets, updates (which I am about to do), and anything else I find online, but I am wondering if anyone else has any suggestions for me. This never happened with my last Macbook Air (and that one experienced a couple of bumps here and there) so I am rather concerned.

Vertical lines usually indicate a hardware issue with the built-in Display Assembly which will need to be repaired. You can confirm, by taking a screenshot and viewing the screenshot on another device. If you do not see the lines while viewing the screenshot on the other device, then you have confirmed the hardware issue.
