Photos disappearing after AirDrop failure

I was transfering about 1,300 odd photos from my old iPhone to the new one. In the middle of the process a notification pop up notified "AirDrop failure", after that all the photos from my old device disappeared and cannot be recovered (not in the hidden, recycle bin, whatsoever...). Does anyone know how to solve this problem or it is still possible to retrieve these photos?

Airdrop sending deleted photos My iPhone airdropped 4 old deleted photos along with 2 photos that I did want to send to an iPad. Usually we ✔️ select photos to send but the 4, weren’t there to select. How did the deleted photos send, when not even on my iPhone anymore! I checked all files, photos, messages, messenger, e-mail. Every where for the deleted photos. I am really worried that private information could be sent without my knowledge. please help

Airdropped pics accepted but not showing up anywhere A friend of mine airdropped some pictures to me yesterday. I accepted them, but when I checked my iPhone 14 later, they were nowhere to be found. I had AirDrop, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth turned on, but the pictures are missing.
