I updated to ios 18 on my iphone 14 pro and now seri wont talk out loud

I had the same problem... Here is the FIX... Settings>Siri>Voice.... Select American (Voice 1) and allow the download to complete.. I did it for all 5 voices and allowed all to download.. Now it works great... Also under Siri responses I selected prefer spoken response..
Still doesn’t work. Tried everything. When talking to Siri, it displays on a text, Not through voice! How do I fix this issue after updating to iOS 18 on iPhone 14?

Unfortunately in my case changing to Prefer Spoken did not help. I tried every suggestion but nothing works.

I reset 3times and I’m really tired of this nonsense.

It’s always commenting with Apple let’s see how iOS 18.2 works. I thought they’re greatest thing ever was Siri and now she won’t work and they don’t care lol
