Siri stopped talking after iOS 18 update

There is no setting for Apple intelligence to turn off.

This was already off for me

I have an iPhone 16 pro and after the latest update Siri is worthless. It either doesn't respond or when it does it basically cuts out a few seconds through. Can't belive it's such garbage

When I asked Siri in IOS 17, "What's my elevation?," she would say approximately how many ft. above sea level. Now, in IOS 18, it just displays interesting question on the screen.

I did that too. It worked for about a week and now it’s doing exactly the same thing it did before I switched it over.

I changed back to automatically response and tested asking Siri for the time when the phone was not near me. No voice response.

I tried this. It did not work for me.

The issue with that prefer setting is that it responds even when in silent mode. Silent mode should be the way to turn off responses. As it was until they screwed it up.

I’ve had it selected. I’ve unselected it. I shut down my phone restarted it. Nothing works, even though it is selected.

Man, I have tried everything that has been listed on here and some and nothing has worked. Hopefully Apple will fix this with the next update.
