My Screen is being observed
I’m seeing a “My screen is being observed” message on my Mac on my lock screen, and I’m concerned about what it means. I’ve checked my System Settings under Sharing, and I don’t have “screen sharing” or “remote management” enabled. I also don’t recall installing any software recently that would have remote access capabilities.
Here’s some additional context:
• My Mac is not currently connected to any external displays.
• I’m using macOS Sonoma 14.6
• I’ve checked for any unknown in the Activity Monitor and didn’t find anything suspicious, but I might have missed something.
I’m worried this could be a security issue or malware. Does anyone have experience with this message or know what else I should check? Are there specific steps to determine if my Mac is being remotely accessed or monitored without my consent?
Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
