Call recording on iOS 18 is generally not possible with the built-in features.
You might need to use third-party apps, but their availability and legality vary by region.
That is not correct. Call recording is built into iOS 18, but it does depend on your region, since some would consider that to be illegal.

Call recording is built-in to the iPhone with iOS 18. When on a call, just tap the record button in the top left corner of the screen. A audible notification will play, letting both parties know the call is being recorded. After the call, you can find the recording in the Notes app.
For more information, see here: Record and transcribe a call on iPhone - Apple Support (SG), and also here: Get a summary of a phone call or audio recording on iPhone with Apple Intelligence - Apple Support (SG)

That is correct. You can use the same link that has already been provided to view availability.
According to Apple's official announcement.
The Phone app helps users stay organized with the ability to record and transcribe live calls, making it easier to recall important details later.3 Call participants are notified before a recording begins, and transcripts are conveniently saved to the Notes app, allowing users to quickly search and review what was discussed.
In the footnotes it says: Call recording and transcription will be available later this year. Transcription will be available in English (U.S., Australia), Spanish (U.S., Mexico), Mandarin Chinese (China mainland), Cantonese (Hong Kong), and Korean (South Korea).

Just tried it on my XS, iOS 18.1, in Sweden.
No record button or anything for transcript.
Is it not available on all devices or in all locations?
The feature is NOT yet available in the EU. See this --> Record and transcribe a call on iPhone - Apple Support

For those looking for the rules regarding beta software, refer to the confidential agreement that pertains to the beta:
Yes, the beta software is Apple confidential information. Don’t install the beta software on any systems you don’t directly control or that you share with others. Don’t blog, post screenshots, tweet, or publicly post information about the beta software, and don’t discuss the beta software with or demonstrate it to others who are not in the Apple Beta Software Program. If Apple has publicly disclosed technical information about the beta software, it is no longer considered confidential.
Apple Beta — FAQ
Apple has not publicly disclosed technical information about the features. All they have released is an overview of the features, which is why some users are met with the standard response that it has not been released yet when wanting to ask how something is going to work or want to discuss the features.
I disagree with you on this. Apple has publicly disclosed a detailed description of how the feature will work:
"The Phone app helps users stay organized with the ability to record and transcribe live calls, making it easier to recall important details later.4 Call participants are notified before a recording begins, and transcripts are conveniently saved to the Notes app, allowing users to quickly search and review what was discussed."
Link to Apple's announcement here.
Also, the feature was announced by Craig Federighi during WWDC 2024 (at around the 1:35:56 mark) where he showed screenshots of how the feature will work, and that the recording, summary, and transcription will be saved to the Notes app. He also mentioned that participants of the call will be notified so that "no one is surprised".
I think this is definitely "technical" enough to make this information no longer confidential, and we should be able to freely discuss it here.

What’s the app then ? Or how can we use it ?
You can't use what hasn't been released yet. You need to wait along with the rest of us for it to be released.

That is incorrect. Most, not all, states are a one party state meaning as long as one side knows and consents it’s perfectly legal.
It really doesn't matter as the feature has not yet been released. Anywhere.

the warning isn’t included in the recording, so if you do use it for legal issues in a state that requires both parties notice then how will you prove you notified the person if the recording doesn’t have the warning at the start of they call, can’t the other person just lie and say to a judge that he never heard a warning and that it was recorded without his or her knowledge, so what apple is doing is useless. Also warning someone that the phone is recording them is deafening the purpose of recording someone cause if you wanted to catch someone talking about a crime they did or catch them threatening you or whatever thats illegal, as soon as they hear that warning they hanging up on you, it basically makes call recording useless because no one will stay on a line as long as they know they being recorded.

If you're recording a call in a two-party consent state and you're concerned that the automated notification isn't enough, you could always just tell the other party that the call is being recorded yourself. I kind of agree that it's strange that the automated notification is not included in the recording, but unless Apple changes the feature, that's just how it works. And if you did try to introduce a recording in court in a two-party jurisdiction, you could provide evidence of of how the feature works, which the judge could accept, even if the other party claims they didn't hear the notification.
If you're trying to secretly record a call, this feature is not designed to do that. However, that does not make it "useless". There are many other situations where someone would want to record a call: for example, a reporter who is conducing an interview.
No, there is no built in capability for call recording in iPhone.
Recording phone calls in most locations is illegal. So NO, Apple doesn't provide features which aren't permissible by law.
Yes. It's due to your region. That feature is not available there at this time.
Call recording on iOS 18 is generally not possible with the built-in features.
You might need to use third-party apps, but their availability and legality vary by region.
Yes it is available for iphone 15 but for that you to have be on ios 18.1 which is not released yet for some older devices , infact it is available to iphone 14 as well , , 18.1 official version might come up in next few weeks
