According to Apple: If your iPhone has displayed a temperature warning screen, to resume use of your device as quickly as possible, turn it off, move it to a cooler environment (away from direct sunlight), and allow it to cool down.
If you haven’t seen a temperature warning screen, your iPhone is functioning fine. It’s normal for your iPhone to be slightly warm when in use, as all electronic devices emit some heat.
