Hello! It seems you have a question about your iPhone getting hot. There can be several reasons for this issue, such as:

1. *Heavy Usage:* Running multiple apps or high-performance games can cause the phone to heat up.

2. *Environmental Factors:* Being in a hot environment or direct sunlight for extended periods can raise the temperature.

3. *Background Processes:* Apps running in the background or automatic updates can contribute to overheating.

4. *Hardware Issues:* Sometimes, battery or internal hardware problems can be the culprit.

5. *Charging:* Using your phone while charging, or charging it with a faulty charger, can cause it to heat up.

You can try closing unnecessary apps, avoiding direct sunlight, and not using your phone while charging. If the problem persists, it might be a good idea to contact Apple Support.

What is your batter health %/ cycle , have you ever had battery replacement, you can try keeping brightness to minimal level, turn off background refresh manually check for app updates once a week, if heating up whilst charging charge in stages ,let it cool down before restarting charge, with it being iPhone 13 running iOS 18 it going to have to use more power for day to day use ,are you using correct charger plug & connections, are you using hotspot, does it still heat up if you switch to WiFi if available, if under 80% health would it be worth while getting new battery installed or upgrading to pay monthly with iPhone included. Even iPhone 15 & 16 can be prone to heating up , do you keep phone plugged in while using hotspot ect , if mostly using cellular/ mobile data and it’s heating up are there some apps you could switch off until you need to use , do you have Siri active but don’t use it ,or don’t use it while locked
