My Maths Notes are stuck in Dark Mode despite my iPad being in Light Mode. How do I fix this?

I’ve updated to iPad OS 18 and am using the new calculator app. My system is in Light Mode but when I go to the Maths Notes section of the calculator app the notes are in Dark Mode. I’ve checked my regular Apple Notes app and it’s working perfectly in light mode.

I need to switch my Maths Notes to white as I intend on adding it as a teaching tool this week and need a white background for clarity for the children following the work on the board.
