My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update

I’ve been facing this issue since updating to iOS 18. Has anyone found a resolution? The only workaround that seems to work is accessing iCloud Mail through a web browser, but the app itself fails to connect and gives a “Network Error (POSIX 61).”

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

It's October 15th and I'm running the latest iOS 15.0.1. The Mail app is not working properly. Some emails won't load, and others are not updating my sent emails. I've tried deleting and re-adding my accounts following all the correct steps, but nothing works. I didn't realize this was a known issue for many users. The Mail app is very important, and I really hope Apple is taking this seriously and will fix it soon.

My email will have the red notification showing 12 emails. I click on my email app, then I have to wait for the 12 emails to be downloaded to my phone. Before iOS 18, they were automatically fetched and ready to read once I clicked on the email app. Now it no longer has them ready and I have to wait for them to download from my server.

partially was solved with “/“ in advanced settings of IMAP. But still have an issue with erasing of email. I do Delete and they come back.

also, Exchange server for work email - stopped to work fully

So currently more that 2 Months on critical issue. That show smartness of "Apple".

Must anyone still trust to company that only collect your data, but can not solve quite simple problems ?

Are all personal already fired and apple going to bankruptcy ?

Or simple intelligence is lower than ground ?

this issue related not to VPN.

when you able to see connection on server side (and that is possible) but apple-mail not getting ... so not need to say "solved-by-me-as-my-fault-was..." as problem till now is not solved by apple /that related to some models as in between seems was announced / ... here in topic is even IMAP communication log , that show that problem is not connection-related ...

I have three devices; iMac, iPad, iPhone8

I have three email accounts; Tierranet, gmail, iCloud

When I delete emails on my iMac, it does not delete them on my iPhone8 though it does on my iPad.

This is the case for Tierranet and iCloud. gmail clears them without a problem.

Your shown - is not the same issue when Appe mail shows "rotating Icon" and not show actual mailboxes content ... they are stuck at 2.5 Months and no new messages till now ...

not from icloud, not from google, not from private imap-s ... ALL of them give NO NEW messages accessible in apple-Mail ...

provider inter-syncing and some "dirty"-mitm-actions of apple about ms-servers (mass deletions by archiving was shown everywhere /all possible non-apple devices and on the web/ but stucking for half a day only in apple-devices-all-apps /also in outlook for apple/ that was since approx 2 years ago noted) are not a part of this topic - as that was "slow syncing at least" . here NO SYNC at ALL

Weird thing is my junk mail is coming thru, but not anything into my main inbox.

my mail hasn't been working for 2 months. since installing beta I've had huge problems with iPhone 15 pro.

Everything was still listed. My junk mail is coming in, but nothing into my inbox. I can send, but not receive replies to emails. It's weird.

If I go to my email website thru Chrome on my iPhone, I see all the emails coming in. But nothing but junk mail is coming in on the iPhone Mail app.

same problem here, after updating to ios 18 my email was not working, error.

Same for me but only with my mydomain.com . I have tried everything I could think of . OTOH no problem on my MBA with OS 15

Thanks for the hint with the fallback to normal IMAP.
