My accounts in Mail app stopped to sync post update

Seeing the same, although a certificate that is signed by a private CA (that is otherwise trusted in iOS). The only workaround I have right now is to avoid IMAPS and fall-back to IMAP.

My email isn't working either. I can send, but I'm not receiving anything. I even checked my fetch email settings, put it on manual, but when I refresh my email inbox, nothing happens. I have also restarted my phone numerous times, but nothing seems to fix the issue.

Seems to be an issue with email every time Apple does an update.

I tried everything, I uninstalled and reinstalled the mail probably 200 times. Each time after some time I get an "account error". But to make it interesting, when I reinstalled the mail, the mail works but only for an hour or max 2 hours and then there is an account error. before installing everything worked... Now I still used the mail on my old phone because it had iOS 17 - the mail worked there. But about 2-3 weeks ago there was an update to iOS 17 and then my mail was cut off. I love iPhones, I have had them for years but now I am so disappointed that I will not buy the iPhone 16 anymore. I will stay with the 15 pro. But only if they finally fix this bug. Because I really need the email for work.

We can’t report it because it doesn’t even give an option to choose Mail as the app that’s not working unless we are selecting it from a MacBook and it doesn’t give us the option to choose the iOS 18 as a software that we are having problems with for the bug report

My Mail app is no longer working on my iPhone. It keeps telling me I have a bunch of new emails and then wouldn’t show any all day and then suddenly 50 of them came in my inbox, but even as I open them and read them they keep showing us unread and when I delete them, they delete but when I go back into the Mail app, they are undeleted and it is not allowing me to send emails either.

The iOS version is not a required field, just leave it blank and make sure to choose "Bug Report" in the Feedback type.

It may take a while until all Apple pages have been updated with the latest additions for the new software versions.

No e-mail either since IOS18:

Network error (POSIX 96)

(Before e-mail did not download from server without searching for own e-mail address. Something with ordering bug which was never fixed correctly. Now this workaround also doesn't work anymore)

Could you please check if there is some difference in communication between a working server and one that's failing? I think it is something simple that has changed over the years in IMAP communication, maybe a CR-LF vs. LF only behavior in protocol communication or email listing or something... just guessing...

I’m having the email sync issue on my iPad Air (4th gen) after doing the ios18 update. I’ll delete emails on my iPhone, and with 1 email account they’ll still show up in my inbox on my ipad. I’m not sure why it’s only happening with 1 account.

Hotmail will not sync on iPhone Mail app, very frustrating. How difficult is it to get email to work, surely a basic issue before you release a major update like this? Lazy, lazy lazy - not what I expect (or pay for) from Apple - please fix it soon

Mail still not working on iOS 18.0.1.

It's a shame, since updating to iOs 18, my Mail is not working anymore on iPhone 15 Pro. Mail-Provider say that Apple is aware of the problem and they are working on it. But no solution in recent update. Please fix it!

Same here. Update iOS 18.0.1 did NOT fix the issue with IMAPS and the Apple Mail App - sad!

On a side note - MacOS 15.0.1 broke my Apple Mail app on my M2 Mac Mini (worked perfectly fine under MacOS 15). It now crashes when trying to open the app...looks like things are getting worse instead of getting better...

if you have mutliple google with their oauth accouns and multiple imap accounts ... how long takes to reconfigure them with "may be luck happens" option ??? apple show their smartness already Month ...
