After updating to iOS 18 the weather app doesn't show the add button when I select the city I am currently in.
It isn't like I'm always here and I want to be able to see the weather easily when I'm elsewhere.

Verify that you have Location Services, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi or Cellular on and the Weather app's setting for Location is configured as while using the App or other enabled choices. On the Weather app's Location setting, have Precise Location enabled.
If when you enter your current city in the Weather app's ⋮≡ > Search window with the above settings, if it is not found, you will need to choose the next closest location that provides a weather report for the general area. Location services should provide that automatically, but if it does not, then look for the closest city with an airport.

Try adding the location that location services says you are at.
The add button won't be shown.
I disabled location services for weather and added the city I am in, which worked fine till I turned on location services.
The location was then deleted.
I understand about that, but when I search for and select the city I'm currently in, there is a cancel button, but no add button.
The issue I have is that there doesn't seem to be a way to add the city that you are currently located in.
I want to add it so I can check the weather at home easily when away from home.
I my phone it does.but if for some reason it doesn’t work for you you can get a city close by
You know that if you have multiple cities, you could swipe to the right to see them
Make sure your location is on
and suddenly it started allowing it again.
Perhaps an update fixed it.
