I'm left handed. How to change the apple pay double clik button? It's riddiculous.

Hello, i'm left handed. Mobile always in left pocket. I usually pay via google wallet and now via apple pay wallet in shops. The requirement to double-click the button on the right side of the iPhone Plus is terribly inconvenient for left hand. Is it possible to change it for left thumb with volume down button?

Had no problem on android with paying and now it's so riddiculous that i think about go back to android or just pay with real card...

No, side button action can’t be remapped to volume or action buttons. You can use assistive touch and FaceID to confirm Apple Pay transactions.

Don’t take this the wrong way please, but I’m lift handed and hold the phone in my right hand. My left hand is much more precise and quicker to use as the hand to use to scroll, click, pinch etc. Most right hand people I know hold their phone in their left hand. I just find it curious, nothing personal and I hope you find a solution that works best for you.

Ok thanks for reply. Too bad it's not possible.

About using hands - if i'm using phone with both hands - yes, sometimes it's better to have phone in right hand, but usually i use both thumbs on screen so iphone lies in the middle of both of my hands.

But i'm talking about situations where one hand using is more convenient. So - in one hand i have grocery and in second phone for paying, like keys to open something. For me it should be one hand movement to pay. Easy and fast. And its totally designed only of right handed people, where naturally right thumb is in ready position to double click.

I wish i could have same option from left side button or just turn it off, or even do pop up 'ok button' in center of the screen, where left thumb can go.

Edit: And of course - i can use right hand, i can handle it other way like changing style of holding phone or something. But it's just not intuitive. It's like i can learn how to use right hand scissors but left handed are sooo better to use.

On android you can easily do it as left or right, no problem.

I am right handed but sometimes I use my left hand to double-click when holding something in my right hand. It's simple, when holding my iPhone in my left hand I just use my index or middle finger (usually my middle finger) to double-click the side button with no problem.

Also, if you want to adjust the timing required between the double-clicks you can. Just go to settings/accessibility/side button the choices are default, slow, and slowest
