Unable to reset my email password on my iPhone 15 Pro after iOS 18 update

Steps to Update Your Email Password:

1. Go to: Settings > Apps > Mail.
2. Select: Mail Accounts.
3. Choose the account that requires a password update.
4. Toggle off the Mail button.
5. When prompted, enter the new password.
6. If needed, toggle the Mail button back on to ensure the mailbox reappears in the app.

Unable to sign into or update password in Outlook.

I wish you guys would stop screwing with stuff. If it ain’t broke, don’t “fix” it. And when you do release an iOS update, make sure it works.

Do you wave any idea as to how amateurish you guys appear to be?

Same problem here. There is a bug in your iOS update. This is my business email, hosted by MS. When attempting to "Re-enter Password", it pops the window, "Settings wants to use "windows.net" to Sign In". I click CONTINUE, a window briefly pops up but then disappears, taking me right back to the "Re-enter Password" screen.

Please help. It's really frustrating when you guys don't QC all of your updates before releasing them!

I am having the same trouble. I have two email accounts on my iphone. both stopped working. I was able to re-enter my password for one but for the other I followed the same directions and when I go to re-enter it indicates that settings wants to use "windows.net" to sign in. When I did that for the one account i went to windows.net re-entered and everything is working. for the other - it attempts to go to this page - the microsoft symbol flashes up and then reverts back to settings. Getting very frustrated. I did sign onto my exchange on the web and changed the password. but nothing changes - settings keeps pushing me to "windows.net" and then flashes back to settings. any suggestions

By the way i don't think this has to do with iOS 18 update because it happened with me just today using MacOS Sonoma 14 and as a last resort i upgrade to sequoia 15 and still it's not working. The same with my iPad.

The new password app does not have what I need. I need to login to my mail account from a new computer and need the password for the account. Once upon a time I could find that password in the settings menu but now cannot find how to view the saved passwords for my mail accounts anywhere.

It sounds as if you have a different question than the subject of this thread.

Who is your email provider?

I just went through this with my MacBook Pro. Updated and now unable to even access the email setups. I've tried the mail button toggling. Doesn't change a thing. Apple support says it's my email provider. My email provider says it's an Apple issue. Personally, given the coincidental update timing, I'd say it's an Apple glitch. Might have to look into a more reliable email client service than Apple Mail. the time spent on this is painful.

After updating to ipados18 I cannot reset email passkey

I tried to use the recommended process but it did not allow me to reset my AOL password. Are there any other suggestions?

prompting me to scan a QR code to update my password? I can’t scan a code on my phone with my phone so it now won’t allow me to change my password.

why has it gotten so complicated?

What an absolutely convoluted joke of a way to do a standard change to a mail account. Apple has become such trash.

My wife and I are experiencing the same issue. There is no password entry anywhere. Has anyone seen a solution?
