Hello.. Something weired started happening after I updated my iphone to iOS 18 .. the sound suddenly disappears.. and I had to restart the phone twice to get the sound back again..
did any one have this issue after the update?

I had the same issue with sounds not working on my apps.
turns out that I had to go into control panel, under what’s playing I had to set it to iPhone, it was set to my hearing aids. After that, sounds worked just fine.

After updating to 18.2 I have problems with the sounds. No sound from anything I try to play. Have restarted multiple times.

I am in the same boat as everyone else.
I’m taking my phone to Apple Store in Glasgow as one in Stirling (approved Apple repairer) said there was nothing wrong with my phone settings.
iPhone 14/iOS18.3 - No sounds for incoming mails. Have tried all but still no sound for all my mail accounts. It seems there’s a bug that should be fixed. Hope someone from Apple is reading this….
Don’t hold your breath! It seems they are too busy adding bugs.
I can confirm this issue has been fixed.
Sound notifications on e-mail (gmail) now working since iOS update 18.4.

Just updated to 18.4 - no change, still not getting sounds with email notifications (iOS mail app).

Well 2 days later and Mail screen notifications have started working again, I changed nothing. Fingers crossed all Mail notifications will continue to work for the foreseeable future.
