How to Fix iPhone 15 Pro Battery Drain After iOS 18?

Same here. Battery on 15 pro max literally cut in half. I went to B 18.1 to fix the keyboard lag issue but battery is still awful. Charging times are MUCH slower now on MagSafe chargers too which is ridiculous, so I can’t even properly charge it on my OffRoam car chargers during the day because it’ll only charge like a percent every 5 minutes. Either way, my battery has been awful and continues to be awful on the 15 PM. capacity down to 92% too after a year (got it on release in 2023). I honestly can’t believe it’s this bad. I don’t think I’ve ever had an iPhone whose capacity dropped so much and battery life was this bad ever.

Since upgrading to iOS 18.1 RC on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, my battery life has significantly deteriorated. Despite implementing various measures, including minimizing background app refreshes, reducing the number of location services, and disabling push email etc, the battery continues to drain at an accelerated rate. During idle periods at night, the battery consumption has nearly reached 10%, compared to a mere 2-3% with iOS 17.

Not sure still how long I need to endure and live with this issue. iPhone used to work well all these years but suddenly after upgrading to iOS 18, phone gets switched off after overheating & I'm disconnected due to battery draining on iPhone 15 plus, unable to use iPhone normally since release of iOS 18. Not acceptable for someone who uses it for official purposes.

Well… I upgrade to IOS 18, 5 days ago and the problem it’s present, I think that this is problem to apple in the new software no something like “background”

Same here my new 15 pro max which i bought 27 days ago was fine and have amazing battery life before ios 18 update now it’s just draining so fast this need to be fixed please i just bought the phone

I also have a problem, I have an abnormal Lock and home screen consumption. It didn't happen before.

So far the Apple support centre has only found one solution, but I don't want to restore my phone without a backup.

I just hope that iOS 18.1 solves this problem.

I would also recommend to erase all content and settings on your device then restore from a backup if after a couple days your iPhone is still experiencing an increased battery drain. This is not exactly considered a bug, but instead how the OS system operates when you update.

Same exact thing here. iPhone 15 ProMax and Ios 18 is completely draining the battery in record time! I've watched a bunch of videos on YouTube and changed all the suggested settings and nothing. I shouldn't have to do that anyway, things were just fine on iOS 17. Before the update if I burned through more than 50% battery during the day, that was a lot. No idea what to do here, is completely frustrating and now I'm what? Gonna have to buy a back up battery to walk around with all day??

The solution is to remove the Weather widget from the lock screen.

I removed mine and now my battery drain issue is fixed.
