Same here, iPhone 13 pro with 86% battery health. I took it to a store to get it repaired because it seemed to be a display problem, after 5 days they returned my phone without a solution, when I realized that version 18.0.1 was available, I updated via iTunes and the screen worked again. It's very bad on Apple's part that an iOS update has such serious problems that they seem like hardware failures.

SaifulEpul ~ Apple's iPhone User Guide says: "If your iPhone isn’t working as expected, you can try restarting it by turning it off, then turning it back on. If turning it off and on doesn’t fix the issue, try forcing it to restart.":

...If that doesn't help, the long process of applying an iOS update to an old iPhone with a weak battery can be the proverbial "straw that broke the camel's back." So...

Does your iPhone 13 Pro Max still have its original battery?

And what's the Maximum Capacity % here?...

Srh ~ 71% is not healthy and is almost certainly the reason for the black screen. Apple recommends having the battery replaced at around 80% – so have the weak, aging battery replaced and all will (probably) be well:

Have the battery replaced and the black screen issue will probably be resolved:

Nope -

restarting and force restarting does not fix the issue.

mine restarts itself multiple tones a day.

I’m not a techie but it seems like some kind of a memory glitch issue with the iOS 18 update that wasn’t fixed in the 18.0.1 update.

Also I’m seeing many posts that issue is happening on different iPhone models, common denominator is the iOS 18.
