iOS 18 bug in Apple Music app

after updating to ios18 i have encountered a bug when using apple music. Whenever the phone opens or closes or when the screen turns on due to a notification, the music pauses for a good 3-5 secs and same when screen goes back to sleep. Also when playing music using apple carplay, when i use my phone or when the screen turns on the same delay is there and the music sound deteriorates badly. The sound is completely off and i can’t listen properly unless the phone is put back to sleep. I need apple to release a bug update soon or any solutions as i can’t use my phone like this

This worked for me too. Settings, Accessibility, Vocal Shortcuts - Turn off. I restarted my iPhone twice to get the "off" setting to stick. Issues with Apple Music and Pandora on Apple Car Play ios 18 resolved.

I do not have vocal shortcuts enabled (never have) and I've still been having all of the described issues.

This also seems to fix my post iOS 18 problem, which is that my side button doesn’t control volume.

It looks like from the patch notes for iOS 18.1 the issues with the music app were not addressed?

Its happening with me too in airpods pro 2 after upgrading to ios 18.1. When I m on call the voice gets crackling every 1 min. Works fine when I m not on call. Anyone else struggling with same ?

Nope. I have never had vocal shortcuts set up and Music still skips. On both an iPhone15 and a iPad Pro M4.

December the 1st and just updated to 18 yesterday and the skipping is there still.

And the download issue.

Have this too- new iPhone 16 pro max and Apple music slow to change tracks and edit playlists. Super laggy. Just got iOS 18.1 and Apple Music still slow and lags when changing tracks
