When I delete a message inside a chat on Messages app, the chat remains the same

Hello. When I delete a message inside a chat on messages app, the chat behaves like I didn't delete anything. I mean, if I have sent a message to someone at 3pm and then I decide to delete that message leaving the last message on chat which is from yesterday, the chat remains pinned on the top, between the recent ones, as there's there a message sent in that precisely moment, but when you open the chat, you realize that the last message is from the day before. Has anyone experience that? I tried even to upgrade the iOS, but the problem is still there.

This is normal behavior.

Deleting a message does not do anything but remove it from your view.

If you are referring to unsending a message then this would remove the message from both yours and the recipients view.

I don’t think this is normal behavior because it didn’t work like that before.

Suppose you have 3 chats. One from 2pm, one from 3pm and one from 4pm. Now at 6pm You decide to send a message on the 2pm chat, but then you decide to delete this message only for you.

The position for this chat should go back to be the third position, right? This is the normal behavior from my point of view and this is how the app was working before.

Now, what’s happening is that even deleting the message, the chat remains on top even of the 4pm chat, showing that this chat was the last one to be edited.

You see here? I simulated a message with tomorrow’s date and then I deleted. It’s appearing like the first on the list, but if you see the last message inside, is from days ago.

I understand. As far as I know, this is how it has always worked but I don't see the purpose of deleting messages so I don't do it very often.
