2 finger zoom missing on iPhone 15

Why can’t i use my thumb and forefinger to zoom in on photos on my brand new expensive iPhone 15? Zoom has worked this way on all my iPhones for more than a decade. I can still zoom in and out with thumb and forefinger in on my iPad.

No, the zoom feature on the iPhone 15 is not a reasonable replacement. I do have it enabled but it is kludgy and difficult to use. More trouble than it’s worth.

This is a serious deficiency which means i now have to find ANOTHER DEVICE to replace my iPhone. Really?? I used to use this functionality every day in my work. Now i have to email the photo to myself or use my iPad - technology should be making tasks easier, not make more work! In fact my partner refuses to use his new iPhone 15 cause he uses the 2 finger swipe multiple times each day.

A change in functionality does not equal an improvement!! Why would a tried and true functionality be removed and replaced with something that simply does not work well? Steve Jobs would be ashamed.
