Ipados18 won’t connect to internet

I installed ipados18 on my iPad Pro and can connect to wifi or my iphone 12 hotspot but can’t connect to the internet using either. The WiFi icon doesn’t appear near the battery icon when connected to my WiFi? How can I get connected to the internet? I’ve tried resetting my network settings, restarting my iPad, turning WiFi and airplane mode off and on, and forgetting and reconnecting to my WiFi network. So far, nothing has worked.

I figured out that my Norton VPN was causing the problem. Turned the auto.connect option off and my WiFi and internet worked.

Hello TomPitt1948,

WoW😳 Interesting. I upgraded my iPad Pro 3rd Gen to IPADOS18 and no issues on connecting to internet. Also upgraded iPhone13PM no issues.

What Gen model iPad Pro do you have? Is it the New iPadPro M4 ?
Did you do the Security update first iPadOS 17.7 and hopefully did a backup before upgrading to iPadOS 18 ?
Do you have any other devices that can connect to the Internet OK ?
