Is there any way to downgrade from version iOS 18?

Is there any way to downgrade from this horrible version 18? Well any way other than bricking my phone and starting from scratch.

I am truly disappointed in Apple, I have the iPhone 14pro for over a year now. Since I installed the new IOS18 on my phone, my phone keeps lagging is slower than before and affects my battery life. Additionally, my phone overheats...

Go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health. What is the Maximum Capacity? If it's less than 80%, you need a new battery.

This is the worst update ever, the controls center,

You can use the Control Center in the same way as before. You don't need to customize it if you don't want to.

camera roll got super complicated I do not have a clear overview anymore.

Yes, the new version of Photos is different and does take a little while to get used to. But, if you take the time to learn how to use it, you may find it's not so bad.

Why creating an IOS update if it makes the life of apple user more complicated??!

So Apple should never add new features or make changes? Change almost always requires that we learn some new things but, if you remain open to learning new things you might 1) find out you like them and 2) help keep your brain young.

An update should be there to make everything more efficient and easier... truly disappointed. As everyone else here I am sharing the same struggles and wish there was a way to get back to IOS17!!!

It's a lot easier to learn new things if you stop being so angry about it. And no, not everyone wants to go back to iOS 18.

I wanna downgrade from this disastrous 18 version, my phone is just so complicated to use!

You can't. So, your choices are to learn how to to use iOs 18 or get a different brand of phone. That, of course, would involve a much larger learning curve.

I hope Apple sees this and takes action!

To make your feedback most effective, I suggest you stick to specific issues, not requests to be able to downgrade. That's highly unlikely to ever happen.

Like many others I am extremely unhappy with the photos change. Many MANY ppl spent tons of time.. like months, maybe years organizing photo albums and with one upgrade and no warning or option to change it, the whole thing gets rearranged the way the developers wanted it to look. And it's a terrible look BTW... but blowing up everyone's layouts without giving them a choice is pretty... we'll say terrible so the post doesn't taken down...

First of all you DO have choices. Maybe learn how to customize the new Photos app to better meet your needs as opposed to being another singing me too in the chorus --> Customize the Photos app on iPhone - Apple Support

TechRadar published this guide to let you make the new app more like the previous version --> https://www.techradar.com/phones/iphone/hate-ios-18s-new-photos-app-try-these-fixes-to-make-it-more-like-the-old-version

All of my albums are exactly the way they were before I upgraded. Yes, the layout of the app changed but you have choices on how to rearrange it.

I really like it.

I agree. I think the new photo app is terrific and offers a lot more than it did before. Of course, it requires a little time to learn, but then that's what change is all about. It seems there are many who simply can't accept change very well. They are going to have a lot of difficulty going through life if they can't adjust to things changing. With my 70th birthday coming in just a little over 30 days, I REFUSE to be an old dog who can't learn new tricks. Yes, I do!

As others have reported, all my Albums are exactly organized the same way they were before. It did not rearrange anything in there. You now have far more customizations options that you never had before.

In my mind ABSOLUTELY. I also don't really look my age, which is good!

I HATE THE UPDATE. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. I can’t find my photos or albums. I can’t get out of texts. Everything is lagging. Massive regret for updating. Ughhhhhhh take me back in time. Apple please create an update to take us backwards as this is a living nightmare

Well, have you considered the option of learning about the changes and how to use them effectively?

I suggest you have too much time to tell me I need to spend time learning about features I don’t want and didn’t ask for !

Apple please just give us the option of having the new or the old look and functionality and do force us to need to spend time we don’t have learning how to use the interface all over again just because someone has an idea they think is cool

Well, actually they do with the customization features, and you have spent more time here complaining about it than it would take to learn and customize Photos. It took me less than 5 minutes; more like 3, and works exactly the way I want it to, which is much better that the old one where Apple dictated how everything should work.

But if you would rather whine, be my guest.

There's nothing anyone here can do about the fact you don't like or didn't want the features. They are here now. So, you can either learn to use them or sit around being grumpy. The choice is yours.
