My iPad Air M2 won't connect to my Apple Pencil 2nd Gen

Just bought a brand new iPad Air m2 and Apple Pencil 2 from Best Buy and the apple pen won’t even connect to the iPad, seems like an issue with the pencil itself since it doesn’t want to connect through Bluetooth and there is something wrong with the magnet on it or the iPad that doesn’t give it the satisfying snap when you attach it, feels more like it’s actually repelling it on half, where it should connect.

The iPad Air M2 is only compatible with the latest versions of the Apple Pencil, the Apple Pencil pro and the Apple Pencil USB-C. Here is a link to Apple Pencil page for compatibility listings.

Looks like 2nd gen pencil is only for iPad Air 4th and 5th gen.

I'm sure Bestbuy can exchange that for you 👍

Take it back to Best Buy.
