I will be visiting Japan mid-November and I was wondering if anyone knew about the status of the tax-free conditions at the Apple Stores?
Last notice I have is in 2023 it being removed due to Apple Japan selling tax-free to resellers intending to sell outside Japan.

For more information you'd have to contact the Japanese tax authority or a Japanese Apple Store. However, I strongly recommend not purchasing an iPhone outside of the country in which you live. The warranty on an iPhone is not international and so it would be quite possible to find that if you needed service you could not get it in your country. This is particularly true with a Japanese iPhone which by Japanese law has some special restrictions. Your choice, though.
