Find My IPhone - Wrong Location

I am having family tell me that my find my friend location is stuck at a previous location. It has been stuck there about 12 hours now but it is telling them the location is updated and accurate. I have shut my phone on and off multiple times, turned find my friends on and off, updated my phone and it is still messed up. My maps still show my correct location, I am just curious why find my friends is showing my family a different location?
