MacBook Air Battery missing in Dock-Menu Bar and power adapter is not charging.

I just came home to the Philippines yesterday Sept 18, 2024 from Australia.

The computer was working well, charging and the battery logo was still in my menu the day before I travelled back to the Philippines.

But when I opened my Macbook Air today, September 19, 2024, the battery logo and option in my dock-menu and system preference settings were missing. And my charger doesn't light up anymore indicating that my computer is not charging.

Now the battery will not charge when connected to mains power.

There is no battery icon in the menu bar

There is no battery appearing in the System Preferences main menu.

There is no Battery option in the Dock & Menu Bar - other options (only Accessibility Shortcuts and Fast User Switching)

Hi xinajin, need a bit more info. Can you confirm you have an 'apple power adapter' connected as the charge source. If one is and recognised by the system there should be information visible under "AC Charger Informaton" in the right hand side of your screenshot. This info would appear directly under "Hardware Configeration" ... UPS installed: No". If you have already solved your problem let us know. Many thanks.

Just checked charging with a known good domestic source albeit only 15w. The system report indicated Connected/Wattage/Family under AC Charger Information but since only 15w: Charging. No., (but that's expected since the recommended wattage for my 15" macbook air is 35w). It would appear that your charge source may be suspect. So first thing is to test you have a "known good" charging source, and it is indicated as such under AC Charger Information. Hope this helps.
