Apple pencil claim in a different country

Hello, I bought my ipad and an apple pencil together in Portugal, then I moved to Georgia - the country. My apple pencil has problems with connection and charging so I went to a local authorised apple support, but they are telling me that they are unable to activate my warranty because I bought it in Portugal… But the warranty is worldwide. How can I claim a new pen in this case when a local store is not able to help?

Apple warranties are NOT worldwide. To get warranty service, it must be performed in the country that you purchase the Apple device in. Also, Apple does not accept foreign shipments for repairs.

In this case, either you will need to travel back to Portugal or send the Pencil to a friend or relative there to visit the local Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. There an Apple Technician will need to examine the Pencil to see if the issue is due to a manufacturing defect. If it is, you may find that you can get a replacement at little or no cost to you. AFAIK, Apple does not repair these pencils.
