iOS 18 caused a bunch of bugs on my iPhone 14 Pro Max

I cant place phone calls, it lags severely when trying to do anything. Most apps wont open or if they do they fail to load. Not even safari is working. I even went to my phone provider they couldn’t help

Phone worked perfectly fine until I downloaded iOS 18. After that it has been nothing but issues. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I have more than half of storage capacity so Ik I have space for the software,

The transfer works fine between all new iPhones and apple devices. The issue that started occurring between an iPhone and Windows 11. Microsoft Windows changed the usb device architecture. So the only solution that fixes apple iPhone connection is the following.

  1. don’t connect apple iPhone to pc yet.
  2. erase clean install of windows 11.
  3. utilize usb-c (because usb 2 & 3 known to have power suspend issues, this causes break in the usb bus connection).
  4. install apple iTunes & iCloud app for windows (not old apple app) download only iTunes Microsoft App Store.
  5. login to your iTunes on windows with the same apple account that used to login to the iPhone. Now go to iTunes menu and authorize the windows pc.
  6. now use authentic cable and connect to pc, unlock your phone, let windows automatically install drivers for your apple device! Why is this: apple and other companies share latest developed drivers with Microsoft and they are pushed by Microsoft once tested.

Placing calls is your cellular data provider feature, escalate the issue with them.

Basic troubleshooting steps:

Restart, Reset, Restore from backup and Restore as NEW.

A2651 bionic 64 bit architecture / iPhone 14 ProMax.

Issues: after plugging in original apple charger to lighting port, the iPhone enters a state where the input device, in this case the touch screen stops responding after 5-8 minutes of using the App. The responsiveness, the applications runs smooth so it’s not cpu or process issue. And the input device non-responsiveness behavior goes away the moment I unplug the lightening port.

the second issue: still exist with iOS 18.1, is that the Bluetooth device composite devices that attached have more options under the Bluetooth menu. Upon establishing connection, you can choose for the connected device to be treated as car stereo, hearing aid, earbuds etc…

since apply added this feature, my device is struggling to out put audio to Bluetooth external devices. It sometimes work, and times will stop. This also has caused built-in iPhone speakers to cut off or the stream of audio from safari will go mute while iPhone Bluetooth device toggle switch in ON position.

The old feature worked better: the software kept track of the state of the connected device, if the connection was lost for a longer interval and not re-established, the audio out put automatically was re-outputted to the internal speakers again but it made sure the internal audio is set to last custom value, so I always leave my built in at 25% if Bluetooth disconnect I would hear the built in audio and realize battery is out in my ear set or electronic interference has caused it to disconnect, etc.

IOS18 download has caused me and wife no end of issues with our iPhones and I’m in no way tech savvy to sort…iPhone transfer to PC Windows Photo App cuts out and shows only a few photos….the iPhone isn’t always recognised when plugged into computer but is charging and the Photo download starts and stops….checked and updated drivers, checked ports, wasted money buying a new charging lead from Apple shop.

just want to plug into PC and download photos and put music from PC on my phone. Is it too much to ask?

(no issues with any of this with our iPads)
