IMac not accepting recovery pin

I want to give out my iMac and I selected the option to delete from Find my, clicked delete and created a PIN. Now the iMac is not accepting pin and stuck on locked page.

Booting into Internet, safe mode I have a IMac from 2008, and I’m trying to boot into Internet recovery mode. But the thing is i’ve held control R, shift, control alt R, Command R. Even if it’s not listed here, I’ve tried them all and no matter what they don’t work. What happens is hold them and instead of getting the loading bar, I get the spinning one and I just booted into Mac like normal.

How to Boot into Recovery Mode It seems as though there is a different way to boot into recovery mode based many different things about your Mac and I cannot remember mine. I have an iMac that I bought in May of 2023. It's an M3, 8 GB, now running Sequoia 15.6.1. I have 2 back up disks that won't record backups and Disk Utility won't work in regular mode, so I am hoping that it will work in recovery mode. It seems unlikely that it would be a disk problem since the problems are happening at the same time. I checked the Internet, but there are so many ways of getting into recovery mode that I simply do not know which one is appropriate for my iMac.

I cannot even log into the computer, it is not accepting my recovery pin, obviously it is assuming the computer was missing but I selected the wrong option from Find My
